Terms of Service

Last updated: January 2026

By downloading, installing, or using 5cut ("the Software"), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

License

5cut grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for personal or commercial video editing purposes, subject to these terms. The Software is licensed, not sold.

Premium plans

5cut offers two Premium options:

The free tier includes 3 exports per month with a watermark.

No warranty

We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with future versions of iOS or any other software or hardware.

No obligation to update

The developer may, at its sole discretion, provide updates, patches, bug fixes, or new versions of the Software. The developer is under no obligation to provide any updates, maintenance, support, or continued development of the Software. The Software is delivered in its current state at the time of purchase.

Right to discontinue

The developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Software (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you. If the Software is discontinued, your existing installation will continue to function as-is but no further updates or support will be provided.

Limitation of liability

The developer's total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the Software shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software.

Your content

You are solely responsible for all content that you create, edit, or otherwise process using the Software. The developer makes no representations or warranties regarding the quality, accuracy, or completeness of any output produced by the Software.

Support

Support is provided at the developer's discretion via email. There is no guaranteed response time or obligation to resolve issues. For inquiries, contact support@get5cut.com.

Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA)

If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to withdraw from a digital content purchase within 14 days without giving a reason (Widerrufsrecht). However, by initiating a download or starting to use the digital content, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the digital content has been fully delivered.

For subscription purchases, the right of withdrawal applies to the initial subscription period. You may cancel future renewal periods at any time through your Apple ID settings.

All in-app purchases are processed by Apple. To exercise your right of withdrawal, contact Apple directly through reportaproblem.apple.com.

Statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived or limited by contract under your applicable law, including consumer protection laws in the EU, Australia, South Korea, Japan, and other jurisdictions. Where any provision of these terms conflicts with mandatory consumer rights, the mandatory rights prevail.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with their refund policy. The developer does not process refunds directly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or this page.
